ESTIMATE £14500 - £15750. Chassis number 16647, being Car Number J4104 - bearing a supplying dealership plaque from Smith Brothers Motors Limited of Nelson Street Manchester this example with the coachwork plate of MAYTHORN & SONS LTD was first registered with DVLA on November 23rd 1923. Today offered with a good quantity of paperwork, handbooks and associated documentation and is believed to be the last remaining example of this model in existence, as such the car is known to the Crossley Club. The Manchester built Crossley 19.6 was the company's first post World War offering and was launched at London's Olympia Motor Show in 1920. Deliveries commenced in 1921 and the final cars appear to have been made during 1926. In total it is believed 1,150 examples were produced between chassis numbers 16,100 to 17,141. This example would have cost in the region of £1,095 when new in 1923.
