Built in Metuchin this 302-4V Boss V8 example came off the production line on December 3rd1969 two days behind schedule, in Grabber Blue with black Vinyl bucket seats. The car was delivered to Bruce Walters Ford Sales of Pikeville Kentucky with the cars build detail held within the file. The main reason Ford built the Boss 302 was to meet with the SCCA's homologation requirements for qualifying to enter in the 1969 Trans-Am road racing series. The engine was only available in a complete Boss 302 package, which included a four speed manual transmission and handling and aerodynamic aids necessary to compete on a race track. In addition to a lower ride height, standard equipment included front disc brakes, larger sway bars, heavier duty spindles, reinforced shock towers. This "G Code" engine was rated at 290 hp.
