ESTIMATE £8750 - £9500. Chassis number C259027 - The Fordson E83W 10 cwt light commercials where built between 1938 and 1957. The E83W was aimed at the small haulage, trade and merchant market, Powered by the 1172 cc Ford 10hp side-valve engine, with a 3 speed gearbox, and was heavily geared down in the rear axle. The E83W was a simple, but sturdy commercial, which continued to serve well into the 1960s. This particular restored example has the floor mounted handbrake, the accelerator between the clutch and brake pedals and the early style single crank handle hole offset to the nearside in the front grille and earlier pre 1947 type rear mudguards along with pull up not wind up drop glass and an opening tilted front screen. This example is fitted with the rare ring pull bonnet catches and benefits from the correct heavily beaded front wings.
